About the person
Professor David Downs, holder of the Alfred L. Blake Chair of Real Estate and Director of Real Estate and Land Development Programs at Virginia Commonwealth University (USA), holds the visiting professorship for real estate investment at IREBS International Real Estate Business School.
His research focuses on real estate finance and investment, issues relating to institutional real estate investors, and the effects of real estate regulation.
Professor Downs' academic work has been published in numerous renowned journals, including Real Estate Economics, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Journal of Real Estate Research, and The Journal of Portfolio Management.
He has received research grants from the Real Estate Research Institute and is a member of the editorial boards of Real Estate Economics and the Journal of Real Estate Research.
With his international expertise, Professor Downs greatly enriches the academic work and international exchange at IREBS in research and teaching.
