Chair of Data Security and Cryptography

Welcome to the website of the Chair of Data Security and Cryptography at the Faculty of Informatics and Data Science at the University of Regensburg.

In our research we study diverse aspects of cryptography, especially post-quantum cryptography. More detailed information about our research topics, current publications, and projects can be found in the research section.

The computer scientists programme at the University of Regensburg started its first courses in the winter semester 2023/24. We currently offer 'Fundamentals of IT Security' (GRIPS (external link, opens in a new window)) and the lecture series 'Computer Scientists and Society' every winter semester, as well as 'Introduction to Cryptography' (GRIPS (external link, opens in a new window)) in the summer semester. In the future, we will also offer a lecture on post-quantum cryptography. We also offer regular seminars and supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses.
