Medical Cell Biology

Our groups's scientific focus is on the function of ion channel and membrane transport proteins and elucidating the pathophysiology of monogenic diseases. We investigate these mechanisms primarily in two organs: the adrenal cortex and the kidney. This combination of basic research and medical issues is also the focus of teaching in the Molecular Medicine (B.Sc.) program.
