Student Parliament
The “Studentische Konvent” (=Student Parliament) at the University of Regensburg is elected annually. Its meetings are open to the public, and guests are welcome. All students have the right to speak and submit proposals.
What is a “Fachschaft”?
The term "Fachschaft" actually refers to the entire student body of a department. In everyday university life, the term "Fachschaft" refers to either the elected faculty student council (see Section 66, Paragraph 1 of the University of Regensburg's “Grundordnung” [=Constitution]) or a student representative initiative, i.e., a voluntary gathering of interested students, for example, in a particular degree program.
