The Executive Board is responsible for the management of the University of Regensburg. Central committees are the Senate, the Governing Board, the University Council and the Advisory Board. The Governing Board comprises the deans of the twelve faculties.
The students of the University of Regensburg are represented by the Student Convention and the Student Speakers' Council. Within the faculties and departments, students are supported by the departmental student representative committees.
As part of the university elections, the student representatives in the senate, faculty boards and convention are elected every year in June, and every other year faculty board and senate elections are held for all members of the university.
