What is the re-registration?
If you are already enrolled at the University of Regensburg and wish to continue your studies in the upcoming semester, you must re-register within a specific period. The exact period can be found on the German version of this website.
If you do not re-register, you will be exmatriculated at the end of the current semester (see Article 94, Paragraph 2 of the Bavarian Higher Education Act).
How does the re-registration process work?
To re-register, please transfer the full semester fee to the following account. Please switch to the German version of this website (external link, opens in a new window) to find out the exact semester fee, the currently valid payment reference and the re-registration deadline.
- Account holder: Staatsoberkasse Bayern Landshut
- IBAN: DE50700500000901279276
- Financial institution: Bayerische Landesbank München
- BIC: BYLADEMM
- Payment Reference: [your student ID number] (no spaces!), Semesterbeitrag [Wintersemester of Sommersemester] [Year YYYY], [first name], [last name]
Please ensure you use the correct IBAN (DE50700500000901279276) and transfer the money directly to the Student Office account (DE50) and not to the general account of the University of Regensburg (DE42). Please also pay attention to the order of the reference, as otherwise it will not be possible to allocate the payment. As usual, you will also receive an email to your student email address containing payment details.
Your re-registration is only considered complete once payment has been received.
If you would like to change your course of study or your subject combination, the re-registration deadline also applies.
Certificate of enrolment
Approximately one week after your transfer, once we have registered the receipt of your payment, you can access and print your enrollment and study certificates via SPUR (external link, opens in a new window), the University of Regensburg's student portal. Please also check that your address is still current and, if necessary, change it online via SPUR -> My Studies.

How to validate your UR card
Please remember to validate your UR card! You can do so as soon as your enrollment certificate for the new semester is available via SPUR.
Use the terminals on the university campus to have the new validity period printed on your ID card. Without this print, your UR card will expire at the end of the current semester.
